I purchased this for my Yoga 13. The fit is great since it was made by Lenovo, but I had a really difficult time getting it to lay flat despite cleaning my screen before and using the scraper. I now see streaks and bubbles if any light reflects on it. It works fine normally though, so I have not removed it.

for the 2 cents it takes to make these things. It would be nice if the manufactures could add a couple more in the package. I have installed plenty of these screen protectors before without issue and this one just grabs the dust right out of the air and under your protector.... ended up having to ripe it off and throw it away. Very disappointing, I should have listened to all the other reviews.

I bought two of these because I figured the first one is for practice of trying to get it on, or for a spare. First time, I first able to fit it on pretty good and only got 3 bubbles, and should have thank my lucky stars and stop there. But the three bubbles bothered me, and they were taunting me because my eyes would naturally seek them out. So I ripped it off and tossed it away. I had confidence I had mastered the ways of fitting these on to the screen without bubbles, but sadly enough, as careful as I was, I got 5 bubbles the second time. AAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I tossed it!!!

If you're ok with bubbles, then by all means, get it. But if you have bubble phobia, like I do, chances are good you won't like these.

A lot of these on Amazon don't have DVD drives - this was important for me to have. Be sure to read the descriptions carefully as I bought a different model and had to return it as it didn't have a DVD drive. This thing is super fast, though, and I can really tell a difference with the new Haswell processors. I especially like the OS on the SSD that this has, and you MUST get Full HD 1080p like this one has (again, something to be careful of as many others just have the poor 1366x768 resolution, which is a HUGE difference!). This is one heck of a powerful laptop that I hope will last for a long time.

After searching for just the right laptop for months, I've just acquired two of these Lenovo IdeaPad Y510p laptops (the 59370005 configuration), one for myself and one for my wife. These machines ROCK! I say this not simply because of their performance, but because they also shipped with the right software.

Lenovo deserves serious kudos for these laptops. Not only are they blazing fast and put together like Rolex watches, but Lenovo has preloaded them with some software to make life with Win8 really quite nice. As most already know, Win8 relies on Microsoft's new "Modern UI" interface, which sports an ill-advised "Start Screen" better suited for smart phones and tablets than PC's. Realizing this is a terrible arrangement for anybody who needs to use his PC to perform any real work, Lenovo has included the Pokki Menu with these machines. The Pokki Menu is the coolest, most powerful Start menu I've ever seen, bar none. It's wonderfully customizable, and once configured to one's preferences, it makes living with Win8 not only painless, but a genuine improvement over Win7. (I never imagined I'd ever make that statement.) Every Win8 machine should ship with this app. It even supports booting the PC directly to the desktop, completely bypassing the hideous Start Screen altogether. Great stuff! Thanks, Lenovo.

I've been using the Y510P for a few weeks now, and overall it is a good machine, particularly for the price: the screen is big, bright and provides excellent color and resolution, the sound system better than most, the processor and RAM (mine's 8GB) deliver the performance. I can't tell if the 24GB SSD, serving as a buffer for the 1TB HD, really makes a difference, it is definitely slower than an SSD solo.

I must say at the outset that I am not a computer games person, so my criticism of this gaming machine is based on using it in ways it may not have been designed for. In any case, here is what I found lacking so far:
Windows 8 is not to my taste at all, I'm working on downgrading, and I'd advise others to get Windows 7 preinstalled. Although its search facilities are more powerful than in previous versions, most things are also better hidden, and it is rather frustrating.
I am having trouble hooking up to WiFi - sometimes it works, but sometimes it fails, and sometimes it disconnects for no apparent reason when other devices around it (including other Lenovos) chug merrily along. I found no tools that can point to what the trouble may be besides the Windows Troubleshooter which finds nothing wrong and refers me to the Administrator (which happens to be me). It seems to consistently ignore the 5.2GHz channel, although it is configured to use both that and 2.4GHz.
The machine is not very portable, at 6 lb, and its battery is good for 4 hours at most - get a spare.
Finally, I'd would have liked a fingerprint reader for security.

Having read about screen problems with Lenovo X1 Carbon Touch was wary but the new (2013) version seems fine and the machine is really attractive and fast. With Windows 8 and Office 365 I can get through my work very efficiently. Admittedly downloaded a free start button replacement (Classical Start Menu) which also has a "Shut Down" and "Restart" command and starts the X1 Carbon Touch in the Desktop, not Start screen.
Lightweight and fast somehow attractive, after a months use I am in love with this very useful companion.
Disadvantages - new power socket (throw away your old extra power packs) and no Ethernet input, also built in battery so cannot carry a spare. However, now very rapid charging and it is easy to get a USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet adapter (Cable Matters SuperSpeed).

The product was delievered quickly and was packaged for shipment extremely well. Everything worked out of the box and I had no troubles. I was concerned about getting a 14 inch screen because my eyesight is not that great. But the HD screen makes all the difference and I can read the small print just fine. I need the business features like encryption and connection to an LCD projector so was willing to pay more. It is surprisingly thin and light which my shoulders appreciate. The battery life seems as advertised. Windows 8 takes some getting used to but that was expected. I have not yet tried the web cam. It looks beautiful and I certainly will never feel outclassed in the laptop department. Overall I am very happy with my choice.

After I turned the computer on for the first time, i realized the touchscreen was not working. I tried to apply the fix that was released by Lenovo and that didn't work either. Contacted the store (17th Street) requesting the item to be replaced (a few hours after i received my notebook), and received the following message from them:

"Unfortunately we cannot take back opened computers, as stated on our Amazon page at this time we are not able to issue a return authorization for your order; you do have a manufacturer’s warranty."

How would I know that the touchscreen was defective, had i not opened the box and turned the computer on?

Avoid buying anything from this seller. If the item is defective, you are on your own.

I ordered this laptop (Edge E530 62724GU) from Amazon, specifically with Windows 7. I think Windows 8 is usable, but better suited to machines with touchscreen hardware. When I got the package, I thought that the computer was not new. I was wrong - it was new; it had been opened to remove the original Windows 8 Pro and install Windows 7 Professional.

I bought this computer for my wife. After spending some time removing unneeded software and adding needed software, I had become familiar with it. The sound and camera are adequate for her needs, and the laptop itself seems sturdy. The software installed was more useful than some of the crapware on other new laptops.

My wife likes the feel of the machine, and the weight is acceptable; for lighter weight, you will pay more.

The display has 1 dead pixel, but she has not noticed it. If it had 3, I would have sent it back. It's annoying, but not a serious problem.

If this laptop lasts as well, and as long, as it feels like it will, it will have been money well spent.

This is a solid 4GB Core I5 machine with a fast hard drive (7200rpm) and it comes with Windows 7 installed and with a Windows 8 upgrade. With sufficient memory, the fast drive makes more difference in the computer's performance than a fast processor. The multitouch touchpad takes some getting used to. Because the computer has both a trackpoint and a touchpad, the 3 mouse buttons are above the touchpad. The primary user of this machine has been using XP at home and Windows 7 at work and does not like change. Windows 8 would be a very traumatic change. With Windows 7, this machine was the perfect upgrade, minimizing the change from the previous machine. I did delete some of the bloatware that ships with the machine. I also had to go to the Lenovo downloads for this machine to download and install the trackpad software so that I could shut off some of the functions that were causing confusion.

So I bought this laptop to replace my g/f's old Dell XPS 1340 that started overheating. And I have to admit. I am disappointed by this unit. Let's start with the build quality. Now the machine itself had no scuff marks and the plastic matte finish was alright, something to keep it simple, but I have to admit, the way that thing attracts grease is scary. I only used it yesterday and the trackpad and wrist-rest look so greasy. Everytime I used it, I had to keep wiping the surface. (I was trying to remove the bloatware for my girl, we'll get to the software in a bit). But my major concern with the build quality was the laptop dvd drive. Now MAYBE it was just a q/c problem with the one I got, but I simply HATE the fact that the drive is sticking out and doesn't close flush with the surface of the laptop.

Now for the software issues. Let's start with some positives. I came with Windows 7 Pro which I love wholesomely, but sadly, the machine didn't come with any serial key for it. So god forbid there is a software issue and I have to reformat? I am DEFINITELY NOT using that Windows 8 cd they gave me. Going to use that as a coaster! So that also kind of pissed me off. I have to see if there is some sort of third party software I can find online to extra the serial key from the machine so I can store it for future use.

Moving onto the bloatware. It comes with a bit of 3rd party software along with some lenovo bloatware. They were fairly easy to get rid off, just had to put up with the machine rebooting for every single bloatware I wanted to get rid off.

But the final thing that pissed me off, and dropped this review to 3 stars (I wish I could have given it a 4) was a very interesting problem. I have been using computers for some time and I know my way around the machine. But what I found VERY strange last night when I was running through the updates was a weird "failing to configure" error. So because it's a factory bought machine the updates were behind and I understood that. Usually I run the update programme, it finds 71 new updates so I just set it to run the updates automatically. Easy? NO! EVERY SINGLE TIME I RAN THE UDPATES, I kept getting a failure to configure error, So I ended up having to SELECT each pair of updates from oldest to newest, one by one and let the computer install the updates one by one. Needless to say that took 2 HOURS to finish. But it finished none the less.

I finally cleaned up the machine and got it running the way how I wanted it so I am contented for now. It's really for my g/f but she is not tech-savy so I am hoping there are no future problems. Lenovo has usually been renownd for built quality and software quality, that's why this particular machine confounded me. Did I just happen to get the one bad egg?

As for other things, the screen shows fairly clear for what an Intel HD4000 supposed to do. In the future, I shall upgrade the RAM for her so it runs more comfortably. They audio is fine, the Dolby Software does help to boost audio quality, however I did notice it glitch when I was trying to set up SKPYE. Don't know when Microsoft is going to sort out that problem.

I know the review was long, but I wanted to be meticulous for future customers who wish to purchase this item. There were not much others with clear reviews. So to my fellow amazonians online. I hope this helps!

I just purchased the Lenovo Yoga 13.3 inch and love it. The screen is terrific with Music Reader for Windows. Yes, there is a little space at the bottom of each sheet music page which I find useful for add'l notes. Once you crop your sheet music, it fits even better. Much better than an IPad. The whole thing fits perfectly in my briefcase and is easy to hold for lap viewing. Very quiet unit. A side benefit is that I no longer need a light on my music stand.

I also love the way the keyboard hinges and folds behind the screen. Much better than the detachable keyboards which are a hassle. I recommend that you also purchase the Lenovo slip keyboard cover which can hold only the keyboard or the entire folded up tablet. The folded up tablet fits perfect on my music rack for both my piano and harp. All the other tablets had detachable or wireless keyboards which felt cumbersome to me. Purchase the screen protector directly from Lenovo for $9.99 which includes shipping. Amazon charges $29 for the same product. It has totally changed the way I play and my practice time is put to much better use.

The only negative is that it's much more expensive than similar tablets with slightly smaller screens. But I wanted a bigger screen and one that would be light weight and very portable.

I've only had it for a week but so far no problems.

Just opened the box this evening. This is my first Windows 8 PC. This is an awesome pc. It is a perfect fit for someone who loves the uses of a tablet but hates typing on touch screen. It is built very sturdy. It feels just like a laptop until you flip it into a tablet, it is a rather large feeling tablet but props up nice and is very user friendly.
I would recommend this product.

I have had my Yoga 13 for 6 months, working as a General Contractor and taking it with me EVERYWHERE. It has survived everything. I had written off so many times after some rough falls, long sits in the direct sunlight and having dust blow all over it, but it keeps surviving perfectly! The hinges are still solid and it works like new. I am on amazon tonight to buy a screen protector because I'm worried my kids will hurt it. haha!

I have an IT background so I do a lot of cool things with it and it keeps up with all of it. I've never regretted my purchase and have been very pleased with it's performance.

Lenovo is a good company- I've been to their main office in Beijing to see their product center where they show off their products that are coming out & they also announced that they are building a factory and office in North Carolina. Isn't that awesome for a Chinese company to do! Yeah!

The graphics and speed of the machine is great. There are several drawbacks as mentioned. One is the size and sensitivity of the touchpad. The palm of the hand is constantly setting off the touchpad and sending the mouse on errands unintended. The solution is to turn it off and go wireless. Another problem was the keypad location of the number "0." It is shorter and is directly under the 2. On regular keypads across the nation - the "0" extends and is resting under the 1 and 2. It takes some getting used to. I bought it for the graphics card to play games with. For that purpose - it is Excellent. If it wasn't for the other drawbacks - I would have gave it a five star rating.

I had to disable the touchpad because I kept touching it mistakenly. Otherwise the computer is giving me no problems so far. --One month usage.
I run World of Warcraft on this laptop and it handles it quite well (Even in Raids), overall I am extremely happy with this unit.

I generally gravitate towards Lenovo ThinkPad products for business, because they've always worked well for me in the past. I usually stay away from the IdeaPad line, because they're inferior, but I purchased this laptop for my dad, and was pretty pleasantly surprised. First off, the roughly equivalent ThinkPad (Carbon X1 Touch) is about three times the price, so I was heavily motivated by price as a factor. Of course the Carbon is a great laptop (I've used the previous generation for over a year, and I love it completely.) but it's tough to justify spending $1800 on a laptop that my Dad is going to use for email, Internet browsing and playing solitaire.

First off, the construction quality is fantastic. It feels very solidly built, and all the pieces fit together nicely. The touchscreen works great, and overall the screen looks pretty good. I like the fact that it has a lot of USB ports. (My ThinkPad has only two, which can be a real problem sometimes.)The hard drive, although theoretically slow, seems pretty zippy. I'm guessing this is because of the 24GB SSD that's attached. (It doesn't show up as an extra drive, so I can only assume there is some proprietary caching mechanism that it uses to keep the stuff that needs fast access on there.) The fact that it has only 4GB of RAM (non-upgradeable) was also a concern to me, but I've found in practice that setting up the virtual memory on an SSD makes 4GB seem like a lot more, since the HDD doesn't have to churn when swapping out programs between physical and virtual memory. I am a very heavy multi-tasker (I even have a second monitor so that I can multi-task) and the 4GB of RAM has never seemed to slow down the computer.

There are some negatives, which is why, although I'm very happy with the laptop, I was reluctant to give it five stars. First of all, I'm not nuts about the keyboard. Windows 8 has quite a few "special" new buttons that I've become accustomed to, such as the search button and the settings button. Many new laptops have these buttons on the function keys, but this one does not. Also, I found myself constantly trying to hit the backspace key, and instead hitting the "home" key, taking be to the beginning of the line. I don't have this problem on my Carbon X1, because the backspace key is the rightmost key on the keyboard. Finally, I hate glossy screens. If glossy is your thing, then this might not be a big deal to you, but I can't stand them. The ThinkPad has a matte screen finish, as do most business-centric laptops I've come across. I realize that the glossy looks pretty in the showroom, and might make a screen stand out among others, but they're impossible to keep clean, especially on a touch-screen device, and I avoid them whenever possible.

The WiFi never worked correctly on this device. It would drop signal constantly and give very low connection speeds. I called Lenovo tech support and they told me to return it because it is a defect in the network card. Google "lenovo u310 wifi" and you will get a 70+ page thread made over a year ago about how this problem exists. Lenovo acknowledges it but still sells the device like it is.

So I just purchased this machine. It will NOT Let me Download ANY software (ie adobe reader, free subscription to Microsoft Office- it comes with ect). I called them and was on the phone for 1.5 hours. They are completely Unprofessional and continued to transfer me around. I started at Customer Service then was transfered to "Software" - where I was told I would have to PAY them to have them fix my BRAND NEW FRIGGEN COMPUTER, less than a week old. Then they transfered me to Hardware, which I was told "This is a courtesy one time and we will help you".

What?!?! My computer is BRAND NEW, less than a week old.

Conclusion: NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO WARRANTY. DONT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS.

You have been warned.

First, please note that I'm reviewing the actual computer and not any vendor nor the manufacturer's customer service.

Thinkpads, generally in my experience have by far the best laptop keyboards I've used. This is my fifth (at least) Thinkpad and my second X series (previous was X60). I have found them all to be remarkably reliable with excellent ergonomics. I especially love small touches, like the little mouse in the center of the keyboard (looks like a pencil eraser). Thinkpad seems to have the only truly effective implementation compared to other I've tried such as Toshiba. Also 3 USB ports. Nice. VERY lightweight, speedy enough. I LIKE that they did not put a cd/dvd drive in this unit. I'd rather use external given how infrequently I need it. X200 has built-in camera - I still have not figured out how to turn it off - so careful with your attire while surfing Facebook y'all!

So I am thrilled with this unit, loved my X60 for the 2+ years that I had it, and the T series before that. These things seem designed for "road warriors" like me.

Also be sure to get the small travelers A/C adaptor that Lenovo sells for these. I think I paid $35 for mine. Nice.

I have the x200 with extended life battery and 2.4 ghz processor widows 7. This is an amzing little machine. It's built like a tank, and the battery life is incredible. I get about 10 hours!! IBM/Lenovo has been building workhorses for business use for years. They know what they are doing.

The other two reviews that gave it a low rating had nothing to do with the laptop. It was their experiences that were the issue not the laptop itself. If you turned down this laptop based on those reviews you would be missing out on a very nice machine.

This is an excellent laptop and I highly recommend it. I've had mine for a couple of years now and have never had a problem with it. I have upgraded to Win7 since then and have a total of 4GB RAM (which is the max for this laptop hardware wise).

I am in IT field and need a reliable, ultra-portable laptop that has plenty of 'horse-power' to run several applications that I rely on. The X200 fits that perfectly.

I am fairly rough on my laptop and yet it still runs without a problem.

Pros: Light-weight, portable, great battery life, reliable, nice features (roll cage to protect against bumps, spill-resistant keyboard), price is just right, Lenovo's website for downloads (drivers and software) is always up to date

Cons: The finish on the top of it is not that durable. The lid on mine got scratched up a little bit. I ended up buying a 'skin' to go on the top of it to hide the scuff marks.

Having owned HP/Compaq notebooks for business (G6, CQ61, CQ62, NX series) for over seven years, I took the plunge out of HP into Lenovo and am very happy I did. Firstly, this notebook is a "budget" notebook, not a ThinkPad or Macbook Air, and should be compared with other budgets in its price range. It is ultra thin and very light. The 14-inch screen and the near-centered trackpad are best for my uses. Heat dissipation is excellent (no, it will not burn your legs while resting on your lap) and the unit is very quite. The keys are contoured to fit the fingers and require little pressure. The unit lacks a DVD drive but this is a direction taken by manufacturers to reduce weight and cost, and prepares the user for "Cloud" computing.

Aesthetically, upon receiving the unit, I immediately compared it to my Macbook Pro of 2009: sleek, slim and thin but at (what seemed) half the weight. The screen detail and color fidelity are very good for a budget model. The sound quality is satisfactory (as in most notebooks), and whatever narrowness in frequency range exists, it is partially compensated for by a "Dolby Advanced Audio" 10-band equalizer. The single USB 3.0 port speeds data to and from my HP Pocket drive (with USB 3.0) at blazing speeds (unit has two USB 2.0 ports also); wireless sensitivity is above average; trackpad fluidity is close to a Macbook's (smooth!); 4GB of installed memory can be expanded to 8GB; and the HDMI port and 500GB hard drive are essential assets. (Note: A 500GB hard drive model will have 400GB available due to Lenovo using disk space as a "recovery partition".)

I did not order a discontinued Lenovo Win 7 unit but leaped into Win 8 in December 2012 - "culture shock!!!" But . . . this is the future for the PC world and even we "old timers" must grow with the times. Win 8 is a "work-in-progress" for sure, and in order to adjust at a more relaxed pace to this OS, as well as get up-to-speed and "productive", I suggest downloading "Classic Start Menu" or "Start 8". These utilities will bring back the "Start" button and menu familiar to users of Win 7, Vista, XP, etc., but remove none of the features of Win 8.

All in all, this Lenovo unit is well worth the money. Again, this is a budget notebook and is not a ThinkPad or Macbook Air, but to me it is top of the line of any budget notebook I've owned.

I've had this computer for 2 weeks now. In that time I have come to realize just how sweet this little thing is. Obviously it is not a powerhouse for video editing or gaming, but for the normal online activities it is very good. I do keep the power setting on high, which seems to improve the speed of my web surfing. Windows 8 seemed daunting for the first couple hours, but it is so easy to customize and it boots up at such fantastic speeds. If you just need a competent little laptop that is inexpensive and has a great keyboard, but it now.

This is a good little computer. It's very slim and light. However, the graphics aren't great: everything has a bluish tint. Also, the mouse pad is just ridiculous. Most anywhere you click it, a menu pops up. You have to be very intentional about clicking it very near the bottom if you want to click and highlight text, for example. I would totally recommend this computer for any day-to-day activities, but I would also recommend getting a mouse. I haven't been using a mouse (I'll get one over the weekend), and frankly it's driving me quite nuts. But everything else is great--fast processor, lots of RAM, lots of memory...Windows 8 is fun, no complaints!

I've been a Lenovo T-series user for about a decade, going through 4 T-series laptops for work. I finally bought a personal laptop for myself, because the soon-to-be released T440 is trying to be something it's not, which is an ultrabook (no more ultrabay, touch screen, internal battery). So I thought the T430 would be the last of it's kind for traditionalists who like Windows 7 better than 8, and like that this laptop can be upgraded with a 2nd hard drive, etc.

However, my complaint is that I received a model with a noisy fan. Search for "T430 noisy fan" on a web search engine and you'll find several others who had the same issue as me. The noise is an extremely annoying high pitched whine, like a jet turbine. So after having it for a day, I had to send it into Lenovo support. Per their instructions, I removed the hard drive and replaced the hard drive cover.

They shipped it back a few days later and seemed to have fixed the fan issue (if you get a noisy fan model, demand that they replace the fan with a quiet fan. There's nothing that can be done with software to fix it). However, when I tried putting the hard drive cover back on, the screw wouldn't thread back into the laptop. I called Lenovo again, simply asking them to send me a 5 cent replacement screw. They refused, saying the "Hard drive cover is cosmetic", even though it's the piece that prevents my hard drive from falling out of my computer. Hey, the hood on my car is cosmetic, but if a car shop gives it back to me with a broken latch, I expect them to fix it.

I ended up taking a screw from an old Lenovo which was the proper width, but too long, so I had to use a hack saw to get it to the correct length. Even though they have a 30 day return policy (through Lenovo) I decided to keep the laptop for now because I didn't want to go through the hassle of buying another laptop, but I'm unhappy with the frustration I've went through after buying a brand new machine.

On the plus side, the lighted keyboard is nice and I don't mind the new chick-let style keys, though I wished they kept the page up / down and Home / End keys in the same place they were located on the T410 / T420.

Performance:
-I use this laptop for work and it is not the best productivity machine. 4 gbs of ram is fine if your intended use is casual, however having multiple spreadsheets open while running Adobe reader, IE and various other applications can easily leave you spending a frustrating amount of time waiting for process to run.

-The battery life also leaves a lot to be desired, I've returned from 1-2 hour meetings shocked to discover how diminished the battery has become

Hardware:
-This has been a killer for me. While I'm the only one at my company that has had this issue, I've already run through 2 hard drives. I work in treasury so having to reinstall software, online banking certificates and various other access is extremely frustrating. As far as I know, it's an issue with the laptop outside of the hard drive.

-The last thing I find curious and a detraction is the design of the usb 3.0 ports. The ports themselves are recessed, about half and inch from the edge of the laptop itself. This is ok for cables, however it prevents usb drives from fitting.

I did a good bit of research on laptops before making a purchase, went into stores, read reviews, etc. A few comments.

A number of people note how the screens are flexible, go into a store and try bending screens, all thin laptops are quite flexible. Seems odd to me too, but if everyones doing it, it must work.

I saw a few reviews about wireless problems with the u310, but saw many other good review so I disregarded. Don't disregard. There is a detailed summary at [...].

Seems to be that lenovo figured out the wifi was really bad, but kept selling units and just fixed it on the new ones. I bought my laptop on Sept 20, it was manufactured on May 28, the fix didn't come out until July 23... The date is printed at the bottom of the tag on the outside of the box, so if you buy in a store you can check.

In my case, the speed seemed not great to me, but the range was terrible. I got maybe 50 feet from the router before I lost signal. Even my phone (which I think has pretty bad reception for wifi) was better than that. I decided to go into work and see if I could pick up signal at my desk and couldn't ... back to the store we go. I read lots of reviews of 2-3 weeks for repairs and the problem not fixed, didn't sound like what I wanted to do with a brand new laptop.

Aside from the wifi issues, it was a great unit, solid build, really nice touchpad, good keyboard, screen was fine. I suppose some people might only use a machine at home, but for anyone that travels around, I think the wifi problems makes this machine a no-buy.

I wasnt expect the building quality is so wonderful, very cool very solid!
The old wifi signal problem is fixed now, I've tested it intensively use on varies conditions comparing to my thinkpad laptop, iphone, ipad, etc. People who are interested in this laptop shouldn't worry about it now.

but the battery life is not that great. It is advertised as 7h which is not quite possible.
under normal usage of wifi and multimedia, I got about 4h battery life.

Bought this yesterday and I really liked the look and design.. however, luckily I tested the Wifi reception due to reading the reviews here. Sure enough it only got good speeds when right next to my router. I moved into next room and it dropped to under 1MB (From 20MB) I even changed the settings and un-installed the power mgmt software as detailed on Lenovo forums and it did not work. My 7 year old Dell gets way faster speed over Wifi which is un-acceptable.

Do not buy until Lenovo fixes it if Wifi is important to you.

The build seems nice, the keyboard feels OK, the price is excellent. The speakers are not great, but for a laptop, the do the job.

Update, some days later: As I said, the computer performs very well, the i5 processor is very fast. I plugged it to my TV through HDMI and it works flawlessly. I'm planning to buy an external AOC screen for photo editing (a big one perhaps)

I liked this PC, it is very fast and made of high quality materials. The only thing I did not like so much is the keyboard because the keys are narrow. The touch of the keys is very good though. My wife does not see it as a problem because she has narrower fingers.
I for the price we have paid, we could not ask for anything better.
I am waiting for the price of the ultrabooks to go down to replace my Lenovo notebook PC but until then we will stick with the traditional notebooks around in the marketplace.

The computer starts up every time and seems to get all the jobs done that I need it to however a bit annoying to use:

If I forget to turn of the mouse pad it inevitably will highlight all that i'm writing and erase it (and windows 8 has no "undo" function in the email app:-( ). MOST of the time the kill button for the mouse pad doesn't work which is super lame.. I have to hit it over and over and then finally it wakes up. I'm very disappointed in how ALL other key/mouse pad functions work sporadically. (I MEAN ALL OF THEM) The mouse pad has two finger scrolling for example.. only works sometimes.. I wish it didn't have the feature if its not going to work.. I'd rather have the scrolling on the side of the mouse pad at the very least but it doesn't have that because it has the "two finger works when it feels like it" feature... Over all i'm not all that impressed with Lenovo and wouldn't recommend this nor will I ever buy one of these again. I previously had a Toshiba and it was soooo much better.. I'll go back to them on my next one as I had it for 6 years never had a problem, and all the features worked all the time. I'm guessing it has something to do where these products are designed. I live where the Lenovo is designed and its very much like many things there, 7/10ths. Almost there, but skimping on that last 3 of the 10 is what makes this computer okay and not great...
But on the plus side its light, it was cheap and the battery life is pretty long (more than a couple of hours).
I have my qualms with windows 8 being super dumbed down but that has little to do with the computer so i'll spare you needing to read about that..

This thing is awful. I admin IT for our company. We bought it for the office because we needed a Windows machine and it's hilariously bad. Slow as hell, can barely handle the Windows 8 nonsense. Screen broke within weeks--returned. New machine doesn't have a working WiFi card. There were literally a pile of returns of this machine at Best Buy. Lenovo's ThinkPad legacy is long gone. I bought this laptop for my uncle. It is a good laptop for decent home and office usage. It is not ideal for playing high graphics games. If you need a laptop for home and office usage, this is the one!

- Windows 8 (personal opinion - I didn't like it that much)

I bought a G580 and it failed right out of the box. Lenovo's customer service is not a service---it is a nightmare. Negotiating their phone menu is like trying to get thru a maze. I returned the computer as directed and heard nothing back. Nobody in their customer service knows what department does what. Constant holds and misconnections to wrong numbers. Then just try calling back. Finally after waiting (they said they would contact me) two weeks I told them to cancel sending me a replacement. DON"T buy Lenovo.

Pros:
1. It seems to be a pretty fast machine for the most part.
2. It has the latest OS, Windows 8, only a disadvantage while getting used to this vastly different experience from any other Windows version.
3. Nothing has gone wrong yet with any of the hardware.

Cons:
1. Keyboard difficulties: (a) The standard key section is too close to the Num key section: this makes it harder to tell where certain keys are when the room isn't well lighted (very annoying!) (b) The CapsLk key looks the same whether caps lock is on or off.
2. The laptop user is led into using LOTS of junk software and software that s/he must eventually either give up or pay for.
3. Attempting to get a little laptop support online from a Lenovo rep was pretty much a waste of time and nevertheless a cost to Lenovo that the users probably pay for in the cost of the laptop.

I never thought I'd say this but the trackpad alone is reason enough you should not buy this laptop. It is the worst design I have seen in any of the half dozen laptops I've owned. It is way larger than most trackpads making it far too easy to bump when typing. Additonally, as others have noted the integrated buttons don't work properly. Whenever I'm trying to right click on something the computer keeps left clicking. Usually there's this perfect sweepspot to the far left, but it doesn't work consistently. I think the designers must have realized midway through that you'd wind up using a mouse all the time because they put a shortcut key (Function-F6) to turn off the trackpad, which I now do all the time.

I have enjoyed using this laptop for about 6 months. Intel i5 processor is fast and 6GB of RAM makes multitasking a breeze. Start up is fast, about 20 seconds until fingerprint reader. Really like the fingerprint reader feature, keeps data quite secure. Keyboard has nice feel and touchpad is very responsive. Only change would be a larger delete key. The fit and finish is excellent. The brushed gunmetal aluminum cover and keyboard looks great. Appearance is much better than plastic. Highly recommend this laptop.

I type - A LOT. This computer is NOT one I'd recommend if you also type a lot. The keyboard layout is not so great - the shift key on the right is much smaller than a standard shift key. I thought I'd adjust to this, but after having the computer for almost a month, I'm still having to search for the shift key while typing, and I often hit the arrow-up key instead, which then requires me to readjust my position in the text I'm typing. Really an unnecessarily bad feature. However, this I can handle in comparison to the touchpad. My goodness!! This thing has a mind of it's own! I'll want to scroll down and it will instead enlarge the view of my screen. I'll want to enlarge the view of my screen and it will instead scroll down. I cannot copy things the way I'd like to either - instead of highlighting a line of text to copy, the touchpad will interpret my attempts at highlighting as me wanting to pull and drag the text elsewhere (which might be all right if I was able to highlight an entire line before it attempts to do this). Totally useless. All this being said, I have to add that it's a fast machine. This is why I gave it 3 stars. It's worth the money in that respect for sure (I bought mine new for a little over $500). If you don't mind fumbling with a possessed touchpad, and having to search for the shift key over and over again (which slows down typing and leads to errors), then I'd recommend this laptop. But, if you type a lot or enjoy properly navigating with a touchpad mouse, DO NOT GET THIS LAPTOP!!

I ordered this laptop (Edge E530 62724GU) from Amazon, specifically with Windows 7. I think Windows 8 is usable, but better suited to machines with touchscreen hardware. When I got the package, I thought that the computer was not new. I was wrong - it was new; it had been opened to remove the original Windows 8 Pro and install Windows 7 Professional.

I bought this computer for my wife. After spending some time removing unneeded software and adding needed software, I had become familiar with it. The sound and camera are adequate for her needs, and the laptop itself seems sturdy. The software installed was more useful than some of the crapware on other new laptops.

My wife likes the feel of the machine, and the weight is acceptable; for lighter weight, you will pay more.

The display has 1 dead pixel, but she has not noticed it. If it had 3, I would have sent it back. It's annoying, but not a serious problem.

If this laptop lasts as well, and as long, as it feels like it will, it will have been money well spent.

This is a solid 4GB Core I5 machine with a fast hard drive (7200rpm) and it comes with Windows 7 installed and with a Windows 8 upgrade. With sufficient memory, the fast drive makes more difference in the computer's performance than a fast processor. The multitouch touchpad takes some getting used to. Because the computer has both a trackpoint and a touchpad, the 3 mouse buttons are above the touchpad. The primary user of this machine has been using XP at home and Windows 7 at work and does not like change. Windows 8 would be a very traumatic change. With Windows 7, this machine was the perfect upgrade, minimizing the change from the previous machine. I did delete some of the bloatware that ships with the machine. I also had to go to the Lenovo downloads for this machine to download and install the trackpad software so that I could shut off some of the functions that were causing confusion.

I purchased this a few months back with the help of my son who is a computer science whiz ( what kid isn't nowadays, except mine wins awards all over the country because he's so smart!) Anyway, I know nothing about computers, all I can share with you is that it came very well packaged, 2 days after I put my order in. when my son set it up and did whatever it is you do to make them run, he had no problems. It seemed fairly easy and I was using it just a few hours after he started. The keyboard is very comfortable for me. I am not a big person, I wear small gloves so have small hands , they fit nicely when I am typing. The screen is a perfect size with nice color to the screen. I like the extra numbers bar on the right. It's light weight and thin so not inconvenient to carry. I've had no glitches or problems with this computer since purchase. Have been really happy.

Purchased the Lenovo Ideapad Z580-2151-28U for MS Office and Web Browsing use. I expected it to really perform well with the i5-2.5GHz CPU. However it was sluggish at best.
My specific install included Software Firewall, AV software, MS Office. Running wireless on a G-network. (Network NOT an issue... continue reading.) As received BIOS and drivers.

You would click IE icon in quick launch toolbar an wait a second or two for IE's window to appear. Similarly for Outlook. Very disappointing performance considering the CPU and memory.

I got a great deal on a Seagate Momentus 500GB Hybrid drive, so I replaced the 5400rpm drive in the laptop with the 7200rpm 4GB SSD Momentus.
Results were dramatic. Icon-click-time-to-window-appearance was fast, even the 1st time (not cached in 4GB SSD). Once cached on SSD it was almost instantaneous. Boot time dramatically faster as well. Note: This also means my wireless network was NOT an issue, since the faster HD solved the problem.
So either the as-received HD was malfunctioning, or Lenovo hobbled this laptop's performance by putting in "meh" HD.

Also demonstrates the "links in a chain" nature of computer performance. All the components work in concert and should be performance-matched. The weakest link in the chain determines the performance you see for a given application.

I cannot comment fully on the IdeaPad Z580 product itself because the seller, Blizzard LCC, sent me the wrong laptop I needed for work. I received the Lenovo G580 15.6-Inch Laptop (Dark Brown IMR/Metal) instead. Even though I received the wrong laptop, the construction will be the same so I commented on it as far as it pertains to what I experienced.

NEGATIVES:
- I didn't like, which other Lenovos will most likely share, was that the caplock light is positioned on the front edge of the machine as opposed to the caplock key.
- I use a wireless mouse instead of the pad. The machine has to be fully alive before using the mouse plus the USB antenna plug has to be pulled out then put back in for the mouse to work. I'm unsure if other devices would do the same.

PLUSES:
+ The construction seems to be very good... solid.
+ The display is really nice and clear, no problems.
+ The keys are tight and positioned well, no wiggly movement.
+ DVD drive is very good.
+ Preloaded Power2Go (DVD) and Nitro Pro 8 (PDF) software which I really like.

BOTTOM LINE:
A good laptop and I was unable to obtain this Lenovo 8Gb RAM, Intel model. However, gauging 4Gb Lenovo did give me an idea of how the 8Gb would perform and I've had and bought other laptops. Buying the 8Gb model... you'll do well. I see no reason that you should not purchase it. Meanwhile, I bought the ASUS K55A K55A-DS71 15.6-Inch Laptop (Mocha) because there were no more Lenovo 8Gb laptops available. I'll comment on the ASUS when I get it... stay tuned.

OTHER:
The 4Gb laptop (received by error) began bogging down some with a browser, email client, PaintShop Pro X5 and an Adobe Photoshop programs (both high memory demand graphics programs), up and in use. Then again this WAS NOT A 8Gb machine and processor, it was 4Gb and slower. If you use graphics creation and manipulation, get 8Gb of RAM.

Use the other purchasers reviews with this since mine is not in full. I've purchased computers about every 2 years since 1992 so I've been at this a while.

Amazon live chat helped a great deal (thanks Jeremy H.) and the return paperwork is on the way.

I actually purchased the Yoga 11" directly from Lenovo's site. I do want to point out that my entire experience was really positive working with their sales and customer service staff. The item shipped quickly and without hassle - they required signature but since they ship via UPS, they allowed my neighbor to sign. Ultimately I did return this item which I'll explain more on, but that process too was outstanding. They immediately (like while on the phone with them) emailed me pre-paid UPS shipping labels and provided all the instruction I needed to get it sent back.

Pros:
- Versatility and form factor: The 11" size is plenty portable, and it's relatively light for a laptop. The available touch-screen with it's various "modes" makes it nice to use while standing itself up in a wide range of positions across it's 360 degree rotation.

- Build quality: It feels solid, the lines fit together well, it doesn't creak or flex when you hold it from outer edges. The palm rest is textured and it seemed more durable than others I've used that discolored over time. That said - it's casing is made of plastic and I hoped for higher grade materials. i.e. the aluminum found in Apple's products.

Cons:
- Internal hardware: It uses the same Tegra 3 processor that comes available in $200 Android tablets, and as a result you're stuck with a diluted version of Window's 8, and it occasionally has a hard time keeping up with the performance demands.

Lenovo's Yoga 11 is pretty great. I had some trepidation about Windows RT until a friend of mine let me use his Surface. After using it, I knew I had to have an RT device, but I wanted something that felt more like a laptop than a tablet. Lenovo makes incredibly good hardware right now and this device is no exception.

The keyboard, typing surface, palm rests, and track pad are the absolute best I've use in an 11" form factor. It's even better than my MacBook Air for purposes of generating text and casual computing. Some of that credit is due to Windows RT and the Windows 8 gestures one can employ using both the screen and the track pad.

The screen is extremely good for a device this size and very easy on the eyes for extended typing sessions. Text and pictures are crisp and the range of colors and trueness of their hue is very good. I particularly like watching streaming media and reviewing photographs with the device. The touch screen is responsive and as accurate as my iPad or Nokia Windows Phone.

Windows RT does a really good job managing system resources. I thought I would have to exert a greater degree of workspace management to keep it running smoothly, but it handles multiple tasks rather well. The WiFi is a little slow being single channel I think, so pages don't load instantly like you think they would. However, this is all in the name of battery life I think, and a worthwhile endeavor it was.

Summary - great at $500 (or below), if you want a laptop-focused convertible/hybrid and can work within RT's limits. Great design and build quality. Epic battery life. Surprising performance.

First, a kind-of "caveat emptor" - many reviews of Windows 8 and RT devices have negative feedback that's really about the OS. So, I'll leave most of those aside and suggest people search for general reviews of W8 and RT prior to purchase. But first, some specific heads-up regarding RT:

Yes, it's essentially a "locked down" version of Windows 8 and you can't install any "traditional" Windows programs. Check the websites of your key programs or substitutes to see if they're available via the Windows Store. Note to MS: It's maddening that you can only browse the Store on a W8 or RT device; let people do this BEFORE buying. And because you're stuck with IE 10, you're also stuck if you need a specific browser extensions/add-on that isn't available for it. For me, in Chrome, they are the bit.ly, Pocket, Springpad, and a user agent string changer (to deal with temperamental hotspots). Given the slow growth of Windows Apps, IE 10 needs to step up and fill in the gaps, but it feels only partially done. RT has Office, but without Outlook and some power-user features. If you need those, you likely need a full W8 laptop anyway. I'm also concerned that MS doesn't have 2-step authentication for its services, especially since many W8 "social integration" features give it access to your Gmail, FB, etc. There are many more personal issues I have with RT's execution, which were deal breakers at the original $799, but are tolerable at $500.

Pros:
1. Somewhat lightweight. The machine is not as light as an iPad or a MacBook Air but it is by no means heavy and holding it 768x1366 rather than 1366x768 makes the weight very manageable.
2. The "yoga" aspect of the Yoga 11s. Using a normal laptop after using the Yoga makes me wonder why no one in the computer industry implemented this idea on a mass production scale before.
3. Build quality is fantastic and the wrist rest is made of a rubberised plastic that is a joy to feel.
4. Lenovo (IBM) have been on point with their keyboards in the past and although the keyboard on the IdeaPad 11s is no match for the Thinkpad 13, using the 11s keyboard is smooth and easy despite the smaller size.

Windows 8 is an unadulterated horror to use and it makes using the Yoga 11s an extreme chore. It is truly saddening to see such a fine machine mutilated by the hodgepodge, expired, made out of cat meat chop suey that is Windows 8. As soon as I figure out how I will install Windows 7 and consider losing some of the tablet-y features well worth the gain of a far more useful UI.

The laptop came from Amazon within a couple of days and was nicely packaged. The initial setup for the Lenovo was also nice. That is where nice ended.

The laptop shipped with a malware/spyware package called Nitro. Nitro blocked the Windows 8 updates. There were some Lenovo instructions that said to update Nitro but that crashed too. If you buy this laptop, the answer is easy: UNINSTALL NITRO immediately. It is some buggy emulation software that you will never need. You will also need to disable Nitro's spyware cousin, Nalpeiron. The instructions to do this are on the Lenovo Community Forum for Windows 8. Normally this would have caused me to rate it 1 Star but unfortunately all the laptop makers are taking payola to put spyware on your computer. You will probably have similar experiences with any other Windows machine.

Also, Windows 8 is a major change. Don't buy this for the non-computer savvy person in your family. Buy a Windows 7 PC for them while you still can. And remember, Windows 8 is built into the BIOS and you cannot downgrade even with a complete disk format.

And buy from Amazon because they will stick up for you in these sorry deals. Their hardware, Kindle, just works.

This is going to be a perfect gift for Mom and Dad (baby boomers) and their first PC - windows 8 is a nice touch and will be our third Lenovo laptop - very solid performers and very little in the way of hardware issues. Nice bright screens and fantastic touch on the keyboards. Nice addition with the USB 3.0 ports. All in the all for the price and with an Intel i3 - 3rd gen a really nice package for the price $429 on 11/22/12. We own a G780 also and highly recommend it as well.

After owning this machine for less than 2 weeks I began to have software problems, specifically with the Windows Updater. The machine would hang while updating any software that used the Updater. I called the Lenovo Helpdesk and was told to reload the Windows partition, which I didn't want to do since I would have to reload hours of installs and updates to Norton, MSoffice, Itunes etc. I was transferred to advanced software support where the tech told me he would help but at a cost of $59.00. "WHAT!" I said, "the machine is only 10 days old". "Too bad" he said. "Goodbye" I said and returned the machine to Office Depot taking advantage of their 14 day return policy, and traded it for a Toshiba. In retrospect I would have given the machine 0 stars and I will never buy a Lenovo product again.

This is a nice machine for the price. Lenovo makes several G580 models with different configurations. This one has the Core i3 3110M processor which is pretty fast. I was a little disappointed that this model didn't have Bluetooth but I can live without it.

So far the only redeeming feature I can find about Windows 8 is that it boots fast. Other than that the menus, screens, and features are different from other versions of Windows and take some time to get used to. They've removed the Start button from the Desktop view. The most aggravating thing I found so far is that the Windows Mail tool in Windows 8 doesn't support POP3 servers used by a lot of ISPs. You have to sign up for a Windows mail account to find this out. If you have a POP3 server for your incoming mail delete the Windows 8 Mail and download Windows Live from Microsoft's website or some other tool.

I saw complaints about the sensitivity of the touch pad but it's adjustable and can probably be set to most users preferences. The default settings are set to very sensitive touches and pressures.

I like the feel of the keyboard but I'm a 2 finger typist so YMMV.

The Nitro program mentioned as Spyware in some reviews is, according to Google, a third party PDF viewer. I installed Norton 360 and didn't get any bad reports on it but I uninstalled it since I use the standard Adobe Reader for that stuff. I also saw a complaint about the Chrome window size not being adjustable but it sizes fine on my machine. Things like using the Ctrl +/- to magnify work too.

Wireless connectivity is good. The machine has a Broadcom 802.11n adapter and it connected with my Linksys router with no problems. It also recognized my Canon Mg5320 printer on the network and configured it without having to run any setup programs so I guess that's also a plus for Windows 8.

The display is bright and crisp enough for me to be happy.

All in all I think it's a good machine for the price.

The computer starts up every time and seems to get all the jobs done that I need it to however a bit annoying to use:

If I forget to turn of the mouse pad it inevitably will highlight all that i'm writing and erase it (and windows 8 has no "undo" function in the email app:-( ). MOST of the time the kill button for the mouse pad doesn't work which is super lame.. I have to hit it over and over and then finally it wakes up. I'm very disappointed in how ALL other key/mouse pad functions work sporadically. (I MEAN ALL OF THEM) The mouse pad has two finger scrolling for example.. only works sometimes.. I wish it didn't have the feature if its not going to work.. I'd rather have the scrolling on the side of the mouse pad at the very least but it doesn't have that because it has the "two finger works when it feels like it" feature... Over all i'm not all that impressed with Lenovo and wouldn't recommend this nor will I ever buy one of these again. I previously had a Toshiba and it was soooo much better.. I'll go back to them on my next one as I had it for 6 years never had a problem, and all the features worked all the time. I'm guessing it has something to do where these products are designed. I live where the Lenovo is designed and its very much like many things there, 7/10ths. Almost there, but skimping on that last 3 of the 10 is what makes this computer okay and not great...
But on the plus side its light, it was cheap and the battery life is pretty long (more than a couple of hours).
I have my qualms with windows 8 being super dumbed down but that has little to do with the computer so i'll spare you needing to read about that..

This thing is awful. I admin IT for our company. We bought it for the office because we needed a Windows machine and it's hilariously bad. Slow as hell, can barely handle the Windows 8 nonsense. Screen broke within weeks--returned. New machine doesn't have a working WiFi card. There were literally a pile of returns of this machine at Best Buy. Lenovo's ThinkPad legacy is long gone. Avoid at all costs.

I have been using this computer for a week. I am very happy with the performance.

The computer itself was well built and it looks nice too.

Intel Pentium B960 2.2 GHz (2 MB Cache) is actually a DUAL Core processor, not as indicated by another reviewer. It runs fast at normal use.

The memory and hard drive are pretty standard at 4GB and 500GB which are enough for daily use.

It is not a fancy computer of course, but at this price, it's very good.

Having owned this machine for about 8 months since the posting of this review I can say that I'm quite happy with my purchase overall, despite not being a huge fan of Windows 8, which my unit came bundled with. It still runs fast, is lightweight and stays cool, and I really enjoy having the full keyboard with numeric pad. That said, I do have some minor complaints I have with the device, primarily relating to the screen, and also the speakers.

The display is glossy and wide. I would have definitely preferred an anti-glare screen. The overall size of the screen is adequate and the aspect ratio is good for movies, but the resolution isn't very high (maxes out at 768 pixels high) and I'd have preferred it to be taller and less wide, though that's unfortunately become quite rare in affordable laptops these days. Also, the internal speakers are really quiet and it can be hard to hear out of them when you're watching movies, even at a close distance. You'll probably need external speakers or headphones to get any significant volume or audio quality.

Shortly after purchasing the machine I attempted to replace Windows 8 with an version, which turned out pretty disastrously, and I'm fairly tech savvy. If you don't like the preinstalled OS, I'd recommend getting another device. Overall it's definitely a solid machine with a nice keyboard that still runs well for the price, though.

The main thing that I think a shoppers should get out of this review is that the price is good for a laptop that is reliable for casual use. I personally use it for college, surfing, light gaming, and music storage. I have had it for over 6 months now and it still works like it was the first day. Windows 8 takes some getting used to, but it's not that bad. The major (or only) gripe I have about this computer is the mouse pad. It is absolutely terrible, but a wireless mouse can take care of this problem. I downloaded a program to help with the mouse pad settings which helped some, but the mouse pad is still hard to use for me as it just doesn't read my motions accurately. I will swipe my finger in a direction and the pointer seems to get hung up and lags. Go out and get a $10-15 wireless mouse to save the headache, disable the mouse pad, then you will love this laptop!

I just purchased the Lenovo Yoga 13.3 inch and love it. The screen is terrific with Music Reader for Windows. Yes, there is a little space at the bottom of each sheet music page which I find useful for add'l notes. Once you crop your sheet music, it fits even better. Much better than an IPad. The whole thing fits perfectly in my briefcase and is easy to hold for lap viewing. Very quiet unit. A side benefit is that I no longer need a light on my music stand.

I also love the way the keyboard hinges and folds behind the screen. Much better than the detachable keyboards which are a hassle. I recommend that you also purchase the Lenovo slip keyboard cover which can hold only the keyboard or the entire folded up tablet. The folded up tablet fits perfect on my music rack for both my piano and harp. All the other tablets had detachable or wireless keyboards which felt cumbersome to me. Purchase the screen protector directly from Lenovo for $9.99 which includes shipping. Amazon charges $29 for the same product. It has totally changed the way I play and my practice time is put to much better use.

The only negative is that it's much more expensive than similar tablets with slightly smaller screens. But I wanted a bigger screen and one that would be light weight and very portable.

I've only had it for a week but so far no problems.

Just opened the box this evening. This is my first Windows 8 PC. This is an awesome pc. It is a perfect fit for someone who loves the uses of a tablet but hates typing on touch screen. It is built very sturdy. It feels just like a laptop until you flip it into a tablet, it is a rather large feeling tablet but props up nice and is very user friendly.
I would recommend this product.

I have had my Yoga 13 for 6 months, working as a General Contractor and taking it with me EVERYWHERE. It has survived everything. I had written off so many times after some rough falls, long sits in the direct sunlight and having dust blow all over it, but it keeps surviving perfectly! The hinges are still solid and it works like new. I am on amazon tonight to buy a screen protector because I'm worried my kids will hurt it. haha!

I have an IT background so I do a lot of cool things with it and it keeps up with all of it. I've never regretted my purchase and have been very pleased with it's performance.

Lenovo is a good company- I've been to their main office in Beijing to see their product center where they show off their products that are coming out & they also announced that they are building a factory and office in North Carolina. Isn't that awesome for a Chinese company to do! Yeah!
